Basically, Flying-type pokemon are unique Pokemons inspired by winged creatures like birds and insects and are best known for their Aerial; prowess and wing-related movesets captivating Pokemon enthusiasts. Belonging to the bird and insect family, they have become more effective and powerful against small bugs, and grass-type pokemons. They are comparatively faster than any other type of pokemon.  They are mainly of three times

• Pure flying-type Pokémon
• Primary flying-type Pokémon
• Secondary flying-type Pokémon

Effects of Flying Type Pokemon

• One of the most significant factors about Flying type Pokémon is that they are immune to the effects of the moves Spikes, Toxic Spikes, Sticky Web, Rototiller, Electric Terrain, Grassy Terrain, Misty Terrain and Psychic Terrain, and the ability Arena Trap.
• On certain moves, they are affected by Gravity, Ingrain, Roost, SmackDown or Thousand Arrows, or are holding an Iron Ball, and can lose immunity.
• They possess the ability to Aerilate changes in Normal-type moves to Flying type, and increase their power by 20%.
• They are resistant to Electric, Ice and Rock type attacks.
• With the ability of Gale Wings, they prefer the Flying-type moves.
• Some items like Sky Plate and Sharp Beak increase the power of Flying-type moves by 20% when held.
• The Flying Gem increases the power of a Flying type move by 30% when held, and is then consumed.
